Herefordshire and South Wales are two locations within the UK wedding industry that are known to offer both stunning wedding venues and top-tier wedding suppliers.
I was lucky enough to team up with the best these two regions have to offer to organise a styled shoot at one of Herefordshire’s most picturesque and renowned wedding venues, the Haybarn at Home Farm Dulas.
South Wales and Herefordshire Wedding Suppliers Styled Shoot
The venue:
The Haybarn in Herefordshire is a rustic barn wedding venue that boasts the best you would want from a wedding venue. From picturesque back-drops for your amazing wedding photos to a big and beautiful wedding reception space that can accommodate up to 200 guests (140 seated). Find out five reasons you should consider the Haybarn in Herefordshire as your wedding venue here.
the photographer:
Good news, you’re already on his website! Check out my home page here. All the photos on this blog were shot by myself during the styled shoot.
The videographer
I have worked alongside Props Studios many times now and his talent for creating cinematic wedding films is incredible. He is also a great person to work alongside, and much like myself, centers his attention and focus on making sure brides and grooms enjoy their wedding day without having to worry about posing for the camera all day.
the bridal shop
Gardenia Bridal, a shop known for selling luxury wedding dresses, based in Usk, South Wales, offered up a gorgeous selection of wedding dresses for our styled shoot at the Haybarn in Herefordshire. Kate, one of the owners, came along to the shoot and she was a pleasure to work with, super friendly and her dresses are breathtaking! Check out some of the images below and don’t forget to click on the link to her shop and check out their collections!
clay and dried flowers (table decorations and bouquet)
Sown and Wild and The Earth and Bloom Company provided the clay and dried flower centerpieces and the bouquet for this styled shoot. Sown and Wild create dried flower arrangements for all occasions, from wreaths and bouquets to wedding pieces, and much more. The choice of decor for this shoot was gorgeous and the boho theme fitted in nicely with the rustic Haybarn wedding venue.
macrame
Hooked In Cotton provided some very beautifully made Macrame lanterns, decorations, and backdrops for the styled shoot, once again fitting in so well with the boho-inspired theme of the styled shoot that was a perfectly matched set for the rustic Haybarn wedding venue. Claire makes rustic, bohemian wedding Macramé and offers a variety of bespoke decorations that can transform an entire wedding venue into a bohemian paradise.
make up artist
Ruth Starkie MUA a Herefordshire-based Make Up artist came along to the shoot to provide the makeup for our model. Ruth has worked at the Haybarn on previous occasions and I have worked alongside her, she is not only one of the most talented make-up artists in the wedding industry but she is also super friendly and immediately makes everyone around her feel at ease and comfortable whilst they are having their make up done by her. Ruth is highly sought after and always very busy, so I recommend booking her well in advance for your wedding or special occasion.
the model
Michelle Langston from the West Midlands came to try on the collection of wedding dresses and she was so much fun to work with and very professional. Not only is she naturally beautiful, she is a very likeable person who made the shoot a lot of fun to be involved in for all of the suppliers, and she posed extremely well both without any direction and directed by the videographer. Look at her, she’s stunning!!
This styled shoot helped showcase the best of the South Wales wedding suppliers alongside the best of Herefordshire Wedding suppliers. We all came together and made a really good team which resulted in a fantastic shoot and a cracking set of images and footage. As a South Wales wedding photographer, I love building relationships with local wedding suppliers and I am so happy to recommend every single person involved in this shoot to any bride.
